A Year of Growth & Connection

When I look back at 2025, I don't just see numbers — I see faces. I see Maria, a single mother in rural Arizona who now has a reliable laptop so her children can do their homework. I see Mr. Chen, a retired teacher in Atlanta who found renewed purpose mentoring at-risk youth. I see thousands of volunteers who showed up, week after week, because they believed in something bigger than themselves.

This was a year of expanding our reach while deepening our roots. We launched the Bridge to Reading program in 12 new school districts, opened our third Community Learning Hub in Detroit, and piloted a mental wellness initiative that reached 3,200 students. None of this would have been possible without you — our donors, volunteers, and community partners.

As we look toward 2026, we're setting ambitious goals: serving 35,000 families, expanding to five new states, and launching an endowment to ensure our programs endure for generations. The need has never been greater — and neither has our resolve.

Stories That Inspire Us

The people we serve are at the heart of everything we do. Here are just a few of their stories.

Before the Community Hub opened in our neighborhood, my son had nowhere to go after school. Now he's not only getting homework help — he's discovered a love for robotics. I've seen him grow so confident. This program changed our family's life.

I joined Tech Futures Lab not knowing a single line of code. Two years later, I built my first app. My mentor saw something in me I didn't see in myself. I'm now studying computer science at university, and I owe so much of that to this program.

Volunteering as a reading buddy has been the most rewarding experience of my retirement. Every time a child lights up because they read a sentence on their own for the first time — it's pure magic. This is what community looks like.
